The ARK was formed:

  • To provide the highest-quality medical, paramedical, legal, social welfare and similar human services for the physical, social and spiritual well-being of the clients of The ARK.

  • To provide the opportunity for members of the Jewish faith to care for those in need, to give tzedakah and perform mitzvot through service in accordance with the ideals of the Torah.

  • To create an atmosphere in which all Jews, young and old, can further their Jewish identity.

  • To conduct all activities in full accordance with halachah, thereby demonstrating the ability of traditional Judaism to meet and solve contemporary problems.

  • To encourage the learning, study and observance of Jewish custom, practice and tradition, while recognizing that there are a variety of positive Jewish lifestyles.

  • To create a Jewish awareness and identity by being a major force in the community for focus on Jewish issues and causes.

  • To ensure that all who are served by The ARK are afforded equal rights and privileges without regard to financial status, social background or religious observance or practice, thus creating the true spirit of Klal Yisroel in The ARK.

  • To provide any person services of The ARK without regard to race, religion, creed, gender or country of national origin.
